Become
a CIC
LexisNexis has developed the Certified Independent Consultant (CIC) program
to certify consultants who have proven training, customization,
and support skills with LexisNexis Practice Management software. CIC applicants must attend certification
classes at one of the regional LexisNexis Training
Centers and pass a written exam.
The Practice Management CIC Program
is designed to enhance consultants' existing businesses
or to allow them to build new businesses around a broad
range of Practice Management software. The Practice Management products
have been designed to meet the needs of customers from
solo practitioners to large law firms.
This program
was not designed to be a reseller or dealer program.
Instead it was designed to focus on Practice Management training,
support, installation and integration with other practice
software. CICs are not employees, agents, representatives,
resellers, or contractors for LexisNexis Practice Management.
CICs are independent professionals whose primary focus
is the training and support of Practice Management clients.
Some CICs represent products that are direct competitors
to Practice Management. It may seem unusual for Practice Management
to list Consultants that could potentially recommend
competing products, however, we believe that the best
match of software to a customer is in our best interest
as well as the CIC's.
Use of a CIC does not limit
the customer's right to deal directly with LexisNexis Practice Management,
including future purchases, upgrades, service releases,
consulting, training and technical support. After buying
Practice Management software directly from us, customers may hire and
pay a CIC directly for additional training or support.
While there may be one or more CICs in an area, no
CIC has exclusive rights in any territory.
